Received nice letter from civic compliance today saying I have run a red arrow in my car. I am going to court on this one. I have done it before and won, I expect to win again. Red arrows are un-Australian, certainly un-Melbourne. All they do is stop progress. We have rules in place already governing right hand turns; give way to on coming traffic. But when there is no on coming traffic our progress is stalled by the presence only of one red arrow, at 3:45am and not a single other person in sight. Give me a break. The Government is constantly looking at ways to spend money on roads in order to reduce travel times from A to B. They are currently spending MILLIONS widening the Tullamarine freeway to make it quicker to get to the airport. Here is a way to reduce travel times; get rid of red arrows.
